Community Centre
Friday 5th December 2008 was a momentous day in the life of Bemerton Heath when, after years of campaigning, local residents have a community centre they can call their own.
The centre, based on Pinewood Way next to the Neighbourhood Centre, was funded by Salisbury District Council and is managed by the Neighbourhood Centre staff, with the activities being delivered by the Bemerton Heath Residents Association.
The Residents Association plan to deliver a varied and exciting programme of activities including, Youth Clubs, an Over 60s Lunch Club, Tea Dances, Keep
Fit Classes and much, much more.
The Youth Clubs have already started and are proving to be very popular. Available to the young people are a pool table, table football, a Nintendo Wii table tennis, and there is a 42” TV playing all the latest music videos.
Currently there are two clubs, one for 9-13 year olds on a Monday, and one for 14-17 year olds on a Thursday, both meet between 6-8pm and are open to absolutely anyone, so please come and join in. Parents or any local residents are also welcome to join in the fun and help run the clubs.
The Community Centre can be hired for all sorts of activities and meetings, see here for more details.
