Halloween Fun in the Folly

31st Oct 2008

The Bemerton Heath Folly was alive with activity during the October half term as the Neighbourhood Centre joined forces with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to deliver a series of activities for local residents of all ages.

Bemerton Heath Young People Show Off Their Pumkins

During the day on Thursday 30th and Friday 31st the young people could be found in the woods up to all sorts of ‘mischief’, carefully supervised mischief that is. Activities ranged from playing games and creating art out of fallen leaves and twigs to making pumkin lanterns and collecting wood for lighting fires.

The young people also made the woods ready for the main event, a spooky evening in the dark woods on Halloween itself. A story teller was on hand to frighten everyone, young and old with his scary stories. People enjoyed a soup of mashed brains and severed fingers in hotdog buns with added blood.

The Neighbourhood Centre would like to extend its thanks to all who attended and especially to Rachel, Nicky and Sarah from the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust who made it all possible.
