About Us

The Bemerton Heath Neighbourhood Centre is based on Pinewood Way within Bemerton Heath and is a place for the whole community. The centre is run as a partnership between Salisbury City Council, Wiltshire College Salisbury, Salisbury Citizens Advice Bureau and Action for Children.

The Partners of Bemerton Heath Neighbourhood Partnership

Opened in September 2000, the Bemerton Heath Neighbourhood Centre was setup by its four partners as a place to provide advice, information and services and as an outreach centre to deliver adult education and training.

The idea behind the Neighbourhood Centre has since broadened and the vision now is to promote social inclusion, provide a focal point for the community and offer a place for residents to meet.

The aims are achieved through a series of regular classes, activities and special events. These include adult education courses, after school activities clubs, an over 60s lunch club, a parent and child group and drop in services.

As well as three employed staff, the Centre has a core group of volunteers who help run regular activities, and special events such as children’s parties, school holiday activities and the annual Bemerton Heath Family Fun Day. Volunteers, both residents and non-residents of Bemerton Heath, are always welcome to join us to help expand our activities.

The centre also provides a regular meeting venue for groups and organisations associated with Bemerton Heath, including a local Residents Association and an Interagency Group.
